There's no doubt about it.  If you're on a budget and trying to market your business online, article marketing is one the BEST ways to build long term residual results.  

And while I've seen a number of quality training's on HOW to put together a quality article that will be loved by search engines like Google, Yahoo!, and Bing, none of them goes into enough detail on this last, and in my opinion, most important detail:  
Creating A Winning Signature That Drives Targeted Traffic To You.

Recently I had the misfortune of having a previously accepted article rejected because someone discovered that the signature didn't meet their requirements.  Instead of being annoyed, I went on a search to find a solution - and here it is.  


This short but informative 10 minute video by one of my favorite networkers, Jamie Soriano, will show you HOW to create a  good closing SIGNATURE that will entice people to click through your link, which will drive traffic back to your website or lead capture page, which will result in leads.

Tips for Building Targeted Web Traffic for Your Business
Congratulations!  You just started  a network marketing business, MLM or private small business!  Even better, you have awesome products and services that are in demand.  You even have high converting professional looking websites and capture pages to help you market online .  Now what? 

How do you get traffic to them?   The answer is actually easier than you might think.  Here are five of the most important tips to remember for building your web traffic.


First let's start with the part of the puzzle that tends to get glossed over:  understanding the real
function of search engines.  Miss this simple point and you're bound to spin your wheels never getting
closer to the coveted "page 1, top ranking' position" on Google, Yahoo, Youtube etc. that desire.


FACT:  the majority of online interactions start with some sort of search.  When you sit down to research, shop, or conduct business online you will usually start with a search engine, forum, social media or video site like Youtube  and type in your problem, need or question.

For example; let's say you were looking for information about network marketing lead generation.  You'd use one of the search methods mentioned above and type in the words 'network marketing lead generation'.

The job of the search engine is to give us relevant  content  based on those key words that will provide the information we want.

So, as a network marketer, that is YOUR goal as well - to use "relevant" key words or phrases (these are
sometimes referred to as 'long-tail key words) in your content so that someone looking for what you have will be able to find you easier.

Going back to our search query example,  'network marketing lead generation ',   if you only created content for 'MLM Lead Generation" your potential customer typing in "Network Marketing Lead Generation" isn't likely to find your content because it isn't relevant to their search query. 


So one of the first take-aways here would be to do the search engines (and yourself and potential customers and prospects) a favor by using relevant keywords that will help them determine what your content is all about.

So if you're wanting to rank high in the search engines for "Network Marketing Lead Generation", then you'll want to put that keyword phrase in your:
1. The Title
2. Body Copy (Caution: you should only do this a few times as it makes sense in the context of your content.  If you 
    use your key word or phrase excessively your content could be seen as being spam and therefore ignored). 
3. Pictures.  If you use any pictures or graphics you want to label them with your keywords as well.

5 Easy steps to Making Your Own Profit Pulling Capture Page in less than 30 minutes, Part 2

Welcome back everyone!  Last time we talked about: 
  • Using a Website builder like Weebly or  Robert Puddy's "InstantSqueezePageCreator" for quickly and easily creating your awesome and profit pulling capture page.
  • Creating a compelling "killer" headline for your capture page using Maurice Smith's '3minuteheadlinecreator', and the importance of adding bullet points to highlight benefits that will keep your prospect interested in your offer and increase your optin rate.
And then I sent you off with three specific Action Items to get you going.  So how'd you do? Hopefully you found it was easier than you thought and perhaps even just a bit fun....

Today I'm going to finish up by covering what will be your MOST IMPORTANT element; your opt-in form.

Step #4 - Add Your Opt-in Form

This is the box where your prospects will enter their contact information.  I personally only ask for a name and email address.  Some people say you should require more but savvy marketers know less is more.  There's always a time and place to ask for, and get more information once you've built a deeper level of trust and report with the people on your list.

You'll need an Autoresponder Service that will provide the "form code" for you. There are several great ones out there, but I use and highly recommend iContact. It's one of the leading Autoresponders and has every feature you'll ever need, one of the highest delivery rates, and has been thoroughly tested by many of the internet's top marketers (it's the autoresponder of choice for Mike Dillard and if you are subscriber of his InnerCircle newsletter you can get a special discount). 

Aweber is also another exceptional and widely used autorepsonder.  In fact it's the one I used when I was a budding internet marketer.  My reason for switching to iContatc was because I found it easier to understand and use.  If you're not very tech savvy, I'd recommend you go with iContact.  Either way check both out and decide for yourself.  Each offers a free trial period.

Use the tutorials that are provided by your Autoresponder service of choice to create your list name for your opt-in form.

Then copy and paste the code into your capture page and voila', it instantly creates the opt-in form.

And you're done! Well...almost.

HOT TIP:  Be sure to create a nice "Welcome" message that your prospect will receive once they opt-in.  If you've offered a free gift or incentive be sure to include the access or download link for it at that time.  The best way to build that trust and report that leads to your online success is to treat your prospects with the respect and care they deserve.

Lastly, you simply need to publish your site online.

If you're using Weebly's free website builder, you simply click "publish" and your capture page goes live with 1 click.


NOW, the only thing left to do is...

Step #5 - Test!, Test!, Test!

Here's a short list of suggested items to test on your capture page:
(Just remember to test ONLY 1 thing at a time and document everything, including your results!)

  • Different headlines - including different size fonts and letter colors 
  • Different color backgrounds 
  • Different bullet statements 
  • More and less bullet statements 
  • Different statements on the "submit" button - "Free Instant Access" is a often used one because.  I prefer using a direct but  jovial approach -  "Submit" just seems too austere. 
So there you have it. Now you know how to build your own custom "You, Inc." lead capture page in 5 simple steps. From here on out, continue testing until you get at least a 3-5% opt-in rate (# of leads divided by the # of visitors).

If you're serious about building a successful online network marketing business, knowing how to build your own customized lead capture page really is a MUST HAVE skill.  The good news is, it's actually easier to do than most people think and thanks to the many advances in programing and software, even the most budget conscious entrepreneur can easily afford to do it. There are several big advantages to knowing how to build your own lead capture page. Among them are:
  • It's a skill that positions you as a leader (which attracts prospects to you.) 
  • Your customized, "You,inc" capture page sets you apart from the other 90% of internet marketers that are using their companies replicated home business/MLM capture page or web site.
  • You build trust and report quicker with likely prospects because people buy from and join people (i.e. You), not your company
  • Unlike purchased leads, the leads you generate will be targeted and exclusive to you and your team. 
  • You can customize the lead capture page as often as you like. For example, when your company is running a monthly special.
Sound good so far?  If so, then let's get started with your first steps.  To keep this from being too long I'll cover steps 1-3 today.


Step #1 - Using A Website Builder - It's Alot Easier Than You Think!

I highly recommend Weebly.  They have an awesome Free Website and Blog Builder . It's a piece of cake to use, has tons of cool features and it's FREE.  You can even edit your site in HTML if you like.  There's nothing to download and I've found their service to be extremely reliable with excellent support.

Another very good free website builder that's great to use for making Capture Pages is Robert Puddy's "InstantSqueezepageGenerator".   It's Mac and PC compatible.


Both are perfect for network marketers because neither requires  HTML skills, includes a step-by-step user's guide, and some great video tutorials. Oh yeah, did I mention they're  FREE?

Step #2 - Write Your Website Copy

Start with a strong headline that offers something your prospects "just gotta' have".  Make it specific, compelling, and powerful. A good example might be...

"FREE Video Shows How I Sponsored 27 Brand New Reps And Made $125,874.00 In Just  6 Months!"   If you need something to offer, the easiest thing to do is record an interview with a successful upline leader.


HOT TIP:  If you find that you're struggling to create a compelling headline I highly recommend Maurice Smith's 3minuteheadlinecreator.  It's one of my favorite products and has saved me from countless wasted hours of racking my brain for a killer headline.

Step # 3 - Add at least 3 powerfully curious bullet statements like...

When you download this free video, you're going to learn:
  • How to Get 9 New Referrals In 5 Days
  • Four words you should AVOID saying that destroy your chances of sponsoring new reps (even the ones who already want to sign up!)
  • How to effortlessly lead your prospects so that they sell themselves into joining your team or buying your products.

Then, tell your prospects what to do.  You'd be surprised at the number of people that overlook this very important and simple "call to action".  I know I did, but then I realized it was no different from teaching or coaching -  if you want someone to do do something, you have to tell them what to do and how.

Say something like...

"Simply fill in the box below, then click the button for free instant access."

Smart Ways To Use Social Networking For Business.

Today more businesses around the world are making use of the Internet to get their work done, keep in touch with existing clients, and looking for potential clients.  Whether it's your favorite auto mechanic, local coffee shop, financial institution or online bookstore, it has become widely understood that in order to succeed in business today, you need to have an online presence.

This is the place where people go these days to find information and get services.  Most businesses and companies have already addressed to this requirement of the customers by putting up their website and going online. 

However, if you just have a website and don’t do any marketing for it, then most of the people visiting your site will be the ones who already know about it and those who either worked with it or were the previous clients. In order to gain visibility, more traffic, and get more clients, it is important that you let more people know about what you do.  

Word of mouth of course helps but even its territories are defined, you cannot go beyond that.  If you wish to reach a larger market, regionally or globally, and let the entire world know about what you do then the answer is Social Networking.  With the power of the Internet becoming much more far reaching than ever, the use of these social networking sites have evolved from mere frivolous use to something that it more vital.  

Some of the most popular networking sites that are used to promote business online are: 

LinkedIn –  
This social networking site is mainly used to present diverse work opportunities, build professional relationships, as well as supply information about your line of business.  The people on LinkedIn usually list their educational as well as occupational history in their profiles, making it look like a bio. 

Twitter –  
The basic concept of Twitter lies in the fact that it is very straightforward.  The users of this social networking site can submit posts up to 140 characters in length - these are known as "tweets".  Through this website you can tell the world what you are doing, and if you are a business owner then you can tell them what services or products you offer.  Many businesses use Twitter to announce special promotions, product launches and more to get more traffic to their website. 


Blogs –  
Although Blogs (short for Web logs) have been around for more than a decade, more business owners are starting to use websites like Blogger and Wordpress to promote their business.  Not only are Blogs a great platform for disseminating information to the general public, they also lend a human face to the business; people can read the posts on the blog, comment on it and stay updated.  Blogs are one of the most popular tools of internet marketing.  

To get real traffic and increase the number of users to your blog, you must have and keep a regular presence by providing real updated information about your business, products or service to the to the people who follow you. 

Facebook –  
This is a conventional social networking site that is mainly aimed at students and young professionals.  It helps them to build connections with one another.  While most Facebook users go there to reconnect with former classmates, friends and so forth, there are a growing number of business owners and entrepreneurs who have built profile pages on this networking site in order to promote their website, their company, and the products and services they offer.


Keeping in mind the pace of growth of social networking sites  and their growing popularity in personal and professional use, it is expected that this will continue to grow for many more years to come.  With its great potential to open more avenues for business growth than ever before NOW is the best time to add Social Networking to your marketing plan.
