Are You Losing Customers and Sales with Your Company Replicated Website?

If you're a distributor for any mlm or home business company then the answer is probably "YES".

Yes, your company is awesome and has great products and the opportunity they provide for you to earn income being a distributor for them is awesome as well.

But the hard cold truth is this:  they're in the business to make money and they do that by giving themselves every advantage possible.  One of the easiest is by providing their distributors with what is commonly referred to as a company "replicated website".


NOTE:  A "replicated website" is one that looks just like the regular company website BUT it has your
distributor or affiliate ID name and/or number so that any sales made are credited to you.

Let's say you became associate or distributor for AwesomeWidgets.  The company's website address would look like this:  http://www.AwesomeWidgets.com

The "Replicated" website that your company gives you will look the same as theirs but it will have a website address with your associate info that looks like this:  http://www.AwesomeWidgets.com/YourName56731

"So what?" you might be thinking.  Well here's a REAL life example:   
One of my favorite aunts recently became a consultant and distributor for an essential oils health an wellness company.  When I went to place an order from the web address listed on her business card I kept getting a 404 Error  Website Cannot Be Found Message web page.
The address on the card looked like this:  
http://www.MyEssentialOilBiz.com/FavoriteAunt


I called her to tell her what was happening and she said "oh, maybe you need to add my consultant number".

The problem was, she wasn't exactly sure where the consultant number needed to be in the address (URL).  I went through as many reasonable combinations as I could think of but had no luck.  Finally, after 15 minutes, I decided to Google the company name EssentialOilBiz and found the main company page at http://www.EssentialOilBiz.com.  Notice that the word "My" is NOT part of the address (URL).

Next I ran a "Find A Consultant" search from the company page which brought up her affiliate page - 
http://www.EssentialOilBiz.com/FavoriteAunt3075.


Now, imagine that was YOU the customer or YOU the consultant.  How many people on average do you know of that would bother to spend that kind of time to figure it out?  How many people do you know that would even KNOW how to figure that out?  Sure I could have always placed my order with her over the phone, but the point here is that her affiliate web site should be working for her so that she can leverage her time better.

Unfortunately this is NOT an isolated problem.  These companies know something you don't:  there is a high margin of error when someone types a distributor/affiliate ID number into a web address bar to order online.  If one thing is typed out of order your customer (or prospect)  WON'T find YOU!

The company also knows something else:  when a customer can't find YOU (i.e. your distributor website) most people will usually take the path of least resistance and type in (or copy/paste) the Company's website address into the address bar to order... and a lot of those people will place an order believing that you will still earn the points or credits from their purchase but you WON'T :-S  The Company will!

Now there are some people that will stop and CALL YOU to make sure or to place their order with YOU on the phone.  While that's not bad (you do want to provide excellent service to your customers and prospects), it's not very efficient for them or for you.

The Solution
You must have your own "You,Inc" website address / website domain name.
1.  you'll have an easier to remember website name/address (a win-win for you AND your customers & downline)

2.  it brands YOU as the business instead of the company which means...

3.  you'll be able to expand and promote other things in addition to your current business at some future date if you want to...

4.  and you'll be able to keep track of what you promote because everything will be connected to a central source that YOU control :-)
